I drove 10,889 miles in 65 days to give away 70 large American flags. Why donate $1,800 worth of American flags to unsuspecting homeowners? Wilkison IV, a disabled Vietnam veteran and the most patriotic person I ever met. John wanted to give away new flags to patriotic Americans who flew worn flags. John died on November 7, 2010 and was never able to give away those flags, but I was able to honor him and our country by spreading patriotism, one flag at a time. That two-month journey brought smiles to the faces of dozens of Americans, and it brought healing and peace to my own heart.
